A2 Licence

At a minimum of 19 years old, an A2 licence permits you to ride a medium powered motorcycle up to 35kw or 47bhp,such as Honda NC700, Kawasaki ER-6, Yamaha XT660X. There are also several bigger bikes that can be restricted to 35kw by means of a cheap and easy to fit kit. These could include Yamaha's MT-07 and XJ6.

There are 2 routes to an A2 licence, Direct Access, which involves a mixture of theory and practical learning and  tests, or Staged Access which consists of 2 years experience on an A1 rated bike before taking a practical test.
